It all started with a common goal and a joke; a goal to create fun characters and feature them in our own comic books, and a joke which would signify a unique brotherhood for those who love comic books. And thus, Studio KAKOMIKS™ was born! A partnership, a “dynamic duo” if you will, whose aim is to create fun comics a cut above the rest; this is our ultimate adventure. Combining the raw talents of Romi Lizada of ROMIWORKS® Studios, and Ronald Tan of RITUAL Studios™, Studio KAKOMIKS™ aims to provide would be readers with the best of both worlds. Timeless and yet fresh, Studio Kakomiks prides itself with ever growing ideas and characters which will surely tickle your fancies!

January 31, 2009 marked the first among many “Kakomiks” meetings, wherein Romi and I discussed ideas, stories and strategies, all points carefully considered, to make this, truly a one of a kind collaboration. One of the first major projects of the group will be a funny book, one that will surely make you “Laff Out Loud™”! Our original creator-owned funny characters, previously seen in other publications dating back to the ‘80’s up to their latest adventures in 2000-2008, will once again fly high and stumble, bringing you laughs previously unheard of. But wait! New faces will make themselves known as well, eager to earn their ranks among the funny books. Along the line are some horror, sci-fi and fantasy short stories as well.

So with all the beautiful flowery words I meticulously typed and spell checked; we invite you to join us, as we take on this fun-filled adventure of comic book proportions!
